Four Meals From our Killarney Restaurant You'll Want to Try

Have you heard that we were recently awarded 2 AA rosettes in recognition of culinary excellence? We are so proud of the hard work of our chefs, servers and kitchen team that we think everyone should know! Here is our pick of the ‘best of the best’ meals you can enjoy with us.

Breakfast

Before setting out to explore our beautiful county, set yourself up for the day with a hearty (or healthy) breakfast from our restaurant. We offer a wide variety of breakfast options, everything from a traditional full Irish breakfast to a lighter selection of cereals and seasonal fruits. We cater for all tastes, sweet and savoury. Our personal favourite would have to be our mouth-watering French toast served with apple and cinnamon compote and fresh cream, a perfect start to the day.

Lunch

You can treat yourself with an elegant Afternoon Tea served in the Cahernane Drawing Room. For a very reasonable €22.50 per person, you can get a three-tier tea, including savoury treats, homemade scones and sweets. We also offer a selection of Bewley’s tea and coffee to suit your taste. For the full luxury experience we recommend you upgrade to include a glass of prosecco to complement your afternoon tea, you’ll thank us later!

Dinner

Our Chefs only use the highest quality, seasonal and local produce to create a delicious and memorable meal every single time. This care and attention is easily noticeable on every plate we serve and our Head Chef Eric Kavanagh has created an extensive menu so we can cater to all tastes and palates. We not only produce award-winning food but serve it in our opulent dining room and provide service with a smile. We each have our favourites but can all agree that the perfectly cooked sirloin of Hereford Beef is our favourite. This mouth-watering cut of beef is served with a potato terrine, mushroom, asparagus and a marrow jus.

Dessert

OK, we know dessert isn’t exactly a meal in itself but we think it definitely should be! The Chefs special strawberry and elderflower pannacotta deserves a special mention. It is difficult to make a pannacotta at home but our chefs have absolutely perfected it, down to a tee. The fruity flavours are perfectly balanced and complemented by the flavour of the sweetened cream base, a perfect end to a perfect meal. We know everyone doesn’t have as big a sweet tooth as us so we cater for a more savoury palate too with our selection of cheese, chutney and crackers.

Whatever your taste, you can enjoy any of these delicious meals when you visit Cahernane House Hotel. Contact us by phone or email to make a booking and remember to always book direct for the best value.
